“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.” 1 Corinthians 14:33

God is the God of order and of peace. Now, I want you to read this,

“Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.” (34-35)

Now read this,

“I promised you as a pure bride to one husband—Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:2

Yes, Men (and women), you are both the bride (or wife) of Christ. Husbands and male leaders are to accept the role to lead by example in representing the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:22-32). Husbands, you represent the bride (or wife) of Christ on this earth in the family and within the community. Husbands should be reading this scripture, thinking in regards to themselves with their relationship with Christ, their husband. Now, check this out. Husbands, don’t think of your wife when you read this following scripture. Think of yourself and read it like this:

“Women (Male leaders representing the bride of Christ at church) should remain silent in the churches (never speaking their own mind and thoughts alone). They are not allowed to speak (on their own), but must be in submission (to Christ, their husband), as the law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something (The Spirit of God is saying), they should ask their own husbands (their husband, Christ) at home (in prayer between him and God); for it is disgraceful for a woman (male leaders who represent Christ) to speak (their own mind without staying in step with their husband, Christ Jesus) in the church.” (34-35)

God is the God of order. Both women and men are “subters”, so to speak. Nobody in the church ought to be speaking “on their own” or “freely speaking their mind”. If you’re a man, you need to, with fear and trembling, make sure it’s in step with your husband, Christ Jesus. So, it’s a desire to stay always in tune and connected with the one we love. Same for wives and children within a family unit. It’s not about who gets to do what. It’s all about love and order, His love and order—the receipt for peace.

O Father, teach us your ways and your statues, and we may live in them and walk in them every single day. Amen.

Thank you, Father, for being our All in All. We love you. Bless your name today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
