Trust in the Lord. Trust Him. Practice trust like it was a skill, because it is. Practice it like it’s a science or an art, because it is even more than those things. Trust in God. Lean on Him. We (me first) tend to lean so heavily on our heads, what we think, what we understand and we often confuse it for God. Because we agree with it and it looks familiar, then we call it God—we tell our other tendents, behold, this is your god—but it’s a golden calf of our own understanding. Another way to say “lean on” would be “go to first”. I would even be bold to say “worship”. We tend to “worship” our own understand so-to-speak. We trust our own understanding more than the Lord—BUT NOW. But now, says the Lord, EVEN NOW, turn to me! (Joel 2:12). Turn to My understanding, says the Lord. Trust in Me, with ALL your heart, and lean not onto your own understandings. In ALL your ways, acknowledge and submit to me, says the Lord. …And I, not the world and not the enemy and not the carnel mind (this is a promise) will make your path straight…I will direct your path.
I encourage you and myself to submit everything including the small things to God. Let Him light up your path.
It’s time to return to the Lord.
The joy of the Lord is our strength!
