“My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” Psalm 51:17

David openly prayed a prayer of and for mercy to God.  Bold prayers to blot out his transgressions.  Which is now done through the glorious power of Jesus Christ, King above all kings.  Lord above all lords.  He washes us whiter than snow.  

God does not delight in sacrifices or burnt offerings.  David said, “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”  

I come before you God with a contrite heart and complete weakness knowing that you hold all power God to do all things.  Here are my ways; Guide me in all my ways. Guide me today.  Guide us in Jesus’ name. Amen.
